Trimester Programme in Thailand

Stay with a Host Family

You will be placed with a volunteer Thai host family. Most host families are parents of students at your school. AFS Thailand volunteers, who are teachers at the host school, conduct interviews with the families and screen their homes to ensure they meet the necessary standards. Supported by dedicated volunteers and staff, families help students navigate their new school and community, make friends, learn the language and enjoy their year abroad. Sharing culture and traditions helps families bond, creating lifelong friendships.

Whilst no experience in the Thai language is required, you will still be placed in a local high school. Study a range of subjects taught in English from Monday to Friday.
